I'm Rachel Heitman, MA, LCMH-A, NCC, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who specializes in working with middle schoolers through young adults—and the parents who care deeply about them. As a mom of four adult children, I bring both professional training and personal experience to every session. I'm certified in Child-Parent Relationship Training (CPRT) and currently pursuing advanced training in Internal Family Systems (IFS).
I practice Person-Centered Therapy, grounded in the belief that kids and teens are in the process of discovering who they are—and sometimes they need a caring guide along the way. So much of growing up is about learning to trust your inner compass and define your own worth.
I support children and families navigating anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, defiant behavior, divorce, and the journey of building an internal sense of control and responsibility. My work always centers around connection, attunement, and emotional safety.
I'm here to listen without judgment and to hold space for every part of the journey. All feelings are real—even if they aren't always true. Together, we'll make space for the hard moments and the growth that can come from them.
I know how vulnerable it is to ask for help. Parenting can be both beautiful and overwhelming, especially when you're trying so hard to do it well. My goal is to help bring more connection, hope, and peace back into your relationships.
When I'm not in session, I'm with my husband, traveling to visit our adult children, enjoying time with friends, or walking our two overly extroverted dogs. I'm honored and grateful to be invited into your lives.
